AdSense-ready Utility Site Checklist
A publisher-focused checklist for utility sites: original content, clear navigation, data handling, support pages, and crawlable verification files.

Build around user tasks, not only tools
A utility site should explain real workflows: what problem the tool solves, when it should not be used, what the output means, and how users should review results. Tool pages with only a form and a short headline look thin even when the tool works.
Make navigation obvious
Important pages should be reachable from the header, footer, tool directory, guide directory, and related links. A crawler and a human reviewer should not need to guess where privacy, contact, methodology, examples, and support content live.
Explain data handling clearly
For each workflow, state whether processing happens in the browser or on the server, what is uploaded, how long temporary files are retained, and how users can request help or deletion. This is especially important for file tools.
Keep policy pages specific
About, Contact, Privacy, and Terms pages should describe the actual service rather than generic template language. Include support email, deletion rules, operating scope, and limitations.
Verify crawl basics
The site should have accessible robots.txt, sitemap.xml, ads.txt, canonical URLs, and a working AdSense account meta tag or code snippet. These do not guarantee approval, but broken crawl basics can block progress.
Avoid low-quality growth patterns
Do not add empty pages, duplicate AI paragraphs, misleading claims, excessive ads, or unfinished tools just to increase page count. It is better to have fewer pages with real examples and QA notes than many shallow pages.
